James Lagan (Director)
Mr. James Lagan is an attorney with several years experience with premier commercial law firms in the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom and Australia. He has significant experience working with major investment funds, large banking and financial institutions and has intimate knowledge of a wide range of corporate structures and investment vehicles.

Upon leaving private legal practice James founded Bronte Capital Group which is a niche advisory firm specializing in raising and structuring finance for major infrastructure and development projects throughout the world.

James is admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, England and Wales, Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (British Virgin Islands) as well as Attorney-At-Law Grand Court of the Cayman Islands.

Paul Byles (Managing Director)
Paul Byles is a former head of policy at Cayman Islands Monetary Authority where he was responsible for developing regulatory policies and guidelines for the financial services sector (banking, trust and corporate services, insurance and investment funds).

He is also a former Director of Deloitte in the Cayman Islands where he was responsible for the firm’s Regulatory & Economic Consulting Services Department. His experience includes developing anti-money laundering and regulatory compliance systems both at the institutional and jurisdictional level as well as providing consulting services to the government as well as a wide range of financial services clients in the private sector. He also served as a member of Deloitte’s Global Anti-Money Laundering and Regulatory Teams.

He has worked for 15 years within the financial services industry primarily in the banking and trust areas. Paul worked as a Senior Trust Administrator at Coutts and Co where he was responsible for assisting with the administration of Trusts, Companies and other related financial structures. His financial services experience also includes Eurodeposits and Commercial Banking (loans, foreign exchange, letters of credits).

He received his bachelors degree at Pace University in New York and masters degrees at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Birkbeck College in the UK.

James Madigan (Director)
James Madigan has more than a decade experience in the area of financial analysis and planning. His experience includes working in the area of risk analysis for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he was responsible for assessing lending proposals and setting credit facilities for financial market products and settlements to other banking counterparties.

He also worked as a financial analyst at OMNE Health PTY Ltd in Australia where he undertook financial model creation, development, numerical optimisation and ongoing simulation.

At OMNE James was also responsible for research and analysis relating to stock market data, fund raising activities, mergers, acquisitions, business negotiations as well as sourcing and investigated financing opportunities and managed deal execution.

He brings highly technical capabilities in finance and is well versed in finance related information systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters.

James received his Bachelors in Mathematics and Finance at the University of Technology in Sydney Australia.
